Principal

Steve Ruane joined ATG as a Principal in 2006 and he maintains shared operational responsibility for the company’s Southeastern region. Steve is recognized within the Accounts Payable Recovery industry as a dedicated, client-focused manager who delivers superior verifiable financial results while maintaining a highly professional and cohesive rapport with his clients’ vendors. Directly involved in audit operations since 1995, Steve’s hard work and hands-on operational approach has enabled him to be highly successful with numerous retail, grocery, drug and wholesale distribution clients.

Prior to joining ATG, Steve was an Audit Manager/Director for PRG-Schultz. He joined PRG with the Robert Beck & Associates acquisition, where he served as an Audit Manager for the Southeast. Excelling on numerous audit engagements over the past decade, Steve has earned the respect of his clients, colleagues, and competitors for his dedication and responsiveness as a frontline operational manager.

Before his involvement in the Accounts Payable Recovery industry, Steve was the Director of Accounts Payable and Controller for two major southeast regional department store retailers. A longtime resident of the state of North Carolina, Steve remains active in his community. Additionally, he has served on the board of H.M.I., a Christian based ministry to professional hockey players.

Steve holds a B.S. degree from Bentley College. He and his wife, Ruth, have two children and reside in Charlotte.
